Shyne · Legal
Terms and Conditions
Short where it can be, specific where it matters. These terms tell you what you own, what we promise, and where the edges are.
The agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Contentable Pty Ltd, the Sydney based company that builds and operates Shyne. They cover the Shyne website, the web application, the desktop apps, the agent, and every service we offer under the Shyne name.
Using Shyne means you accept these terms. If you are using Shyne on behalf of a company or another organisation, you confirm you have the authority to accept them for it, and you and that organisation are both bound.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old, or older where your local law says so, to hold an account.
- Keep your account details accurate and your credentials to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility until you tell us it has been compromised.
- Workspaces owned by an organisation are controlled by that organisation, including membership and access to the work inside.
Your content stays yours
Everything you create, upload, or import into Shyne remains yours. We claim no ownership over your projects, your media, or the output you shape with the agent.
So that Shyne can function, you grant Contentable Pty Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and transmit your content, strictly to operate, secure, and improve the service. The licence covers sharing only with the people you invite and the destinations you choose, and it ends when your content is deleted from the service, subject to the retention windows in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for having the rights to what you bring into Shyne, and for making sure what you publish through Shyne is lawful where you publish it.
We do not use your content to train our models, and our model providers are contractually barred from training on it.
The agent and AI output
The Shyne agent edits the same document you do, visibly and reversibly. You direct it, you can watch it work, and you can undo it. That design is deliberate: you stay the author.
AI output is probabilistic. Similar prompts can produce similar results for other people, and no one gains exclusivity over a phrasing or a layout merely because a model produced it first. To the extent the law allows, output you create in your projects is yours, subject to the rights of any third party material it incorporates.
Review what the agent makes before you rely on it or publish it. Shyne is a studio, not a source of legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
Acceptable use
Shyne is for making things. While using it, you agree not to:
- Break the law, infringe someone’s rights, or upload content you have no right to use.
- Distribute malware, phish, or use Shyne to deceive people about who made something or who is speaking.
- Probe, overload, or interfere with the service, or attempt to reach other people’s projects or accounts.
- Circumvent usage limits, plan boundaries, or security controls.
- Scrape the service or resell access to it without our written agreement.
- Use connected channels to spam. What you publish through Shyne must also respect the rules of the platform receiving it.
We can remove content or suspend accounts that put other users, the service, or the people on the receiving end of a publication at risk.
Connected channels and publishing
Shyne can publish finished work to external platforms you connect. Each of those platforms has its own terms, and your use of them stays governed by those terms; connecting them to Shyne changes nothing about that.
Nothing is published without a person confirming it. You can disconnect a channel at any time, which stops future publishing immediately. Content already published lives on the platform you sent it to and is managed there.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Paid plans renew automatically for the period you chose, until you cancel. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current period, and your work stays accessible on the free tier’s terms afterwards.
- Prices can change. We give you reasonable notice before a change touches you, and it applies from your next renewal, never retroactively.
- Fees exclude taxes unless stated; where tax applies, it is added at the lawful rate.
- Refunds are provided where the law requires them, including under the consumer guarantees described below. Where we offer a refund window beyond that, it is stated at purchase.
- Fair use limits protect the service. If your usage is far enough outside normal to affect others, we will talk to you before we act, whenever practicable.
Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you hold under that law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent we are permitted to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
Copyright and Shyne’s intellectual property
Shyne itself, the software, the interface, the Shyne name, the wordmark, and the spark, belongs to Contentable Pty Ltd. These terms give you the right to use the service, not a licence to copy, modify, resell, or build derivatives of the software or the brand. Shyne includes open source components, which remain under their own licences.
All content on this site that is not user content, including text, interface design, icons, and imagery we created, is © 2026 Contentable Pty Ltd, all rights reserved.
If you believe content on Shyne infringes your copyright, write to mas@nextdocs.io with enough detail to find and assess it. We act promptly on substantiated claims, including removal. If you send us feedback or ideas, we can use them to improve Shyne without obligation or charge.
Third party services and media
Shyne integrates licensed stock libraries, media generation, fonts, and the platforms you connect. Third party materials stay subject to their own licences, and an integration existing today is not a promise it exists forever; providers change, and we swap or retire integrations when we must.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Shyne and delete your account at any time. Export your work first; deletion is real and follows the windows in our Privacy Policy.
We can suspend or end access for breach of these terms, for legal necessity, or to protect the service and its users. Unless the situation makes it impossible, we warn you first and give you the chance to take your work with you. Sections that by their nature outlive the agreement, such as ownership, liability, and governing law, survive it.
Disclaimers
Beyond the guarantees the law provides and section 8 preserves, Shyne is supplied as is and as available. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error free, that generated output will be fit for a particular purpose, or that any external platform will keep accepting what you publish to it. We build carefully and fix quickly; we do not warrant perfection.
Limits of liability
To the fullest extent the law permits, and always subject to section 8, Contentable Pty Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, Shyne.
Our total liability for all claims connected to the service is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose and one hundred Australian dollars.
Indemnity
If your content, your use of Shyne in breach of these terms, or your violation of law causes a third party to bring a claim against Contentable Pty Ltd, you agree to defend and indemnify us against the reasonable costs and damages of that claim. This does not apply to consumers where the law does not allow it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes belong to the courts of New South Wales and the courts entitled to hear appeals from them. If you live somewhere whose law gives you protections that cannot be waived, you keep them.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms when the product or the law makes it necessary. The effective date at the top always tells you the current version. For material changes we give notice in the product or by email before they apply, and continuing to use Shyne after that date means the new terms govern.
